On Tuesday, November 20, armed men looted a humanitarian compound located in Lulimba, Fizi territory (South Kivu). This attack came three days after one of the NGO's vehicles was looted in Baraka (South Kivu). Further attacks against NGOs are possible in the coming days and weeks
Context
The Congolese government's limited presence in the eastern provinces, including North and South Kivu, as well as the presence of numerous armed groups and local self-defense militias (Maï-Maï militias) have led to continued insecurity in the area.
