Costa Rica: Motorcyclist demonstration in San José November 30

Civil society groups have called for motorcyclists to stage a demonstration in San José on Friday, November 30, to protest a 23 percent increase of the Compulsory Motor Insurance (SOA). According to local sources, demonstrators are expected to rally at 16:00 (local time) in front of the National Insurance Institute (INS). A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration.
