Italy: Ciampino Airport in Rome resumes flight operations February 7 /update 1

Airport officials reopened the main terminal and resumed flight operations at Rome's Ciampino G. B. Pastine International Airport (CIA) on Thursday evening (local time), February 7, after the military defused unexploded ordnance dating from the Second World War. Construction crews reportedly uncovered the bomb during site excavation at the airport. Residual flight disruptions are to be expected at CIA and other area airports in the coming hours.
