Aeroporti di Roma officials announced that flights departing or arriving into Rome's Ciampino G. B. Pastine International Airport (CIA) on Wednesday, February 20, will operate out of Fiumicino International Airport (FCO). According to Aeroporti di Roma, they have not received authorization to reopen CIA’s departure hall following a small fire on Tuesday, February 19. Free transportation services will be provided by airlines and airport management to facilitate passenger movement between the two airports. As of Wednesday morning (local time) it is unclear when operations will fully resume at CIA. Residual flight disruptions and crowded conditions are expected at FCO in the coming hours.
