Informational

Event

Slovakia will hold its presidential election on Saturday, March 16. If no candidate receives a majority of votes, a run-off election will be held on March 30. Incumbent President Andrej Kiska has declined to run for a second term as the country has faced a series of large anti-government protests over alleged rampant government corruption. Associated business disruptions on Saturday cannot be ruled out. Political rallies and protests are possible following the result of the election.

Advice

Individuals in Slovakia are advised to monitor the situation and avoid any political events as a precaution.
