Chad: Student demonstration planned in N'Djamena May 3

A student protest is set to take place in N'Djamena on Friday, May 3, to denounce a rise in registration fees and poor study conditions. Protesters will reportedly gather at Place de la Nation at 14:00 (local time). A similar protest took place in Ndjamena on Tuesday, April 30, and was forcibly dispersed by police officers using tear gas.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of protest sites. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out.
