The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported a 4.0-magnitude earthquake some 4 km (2.5 mi) north-northwest of Eastlake (Ohio state) at 10:50 (local time) on Monday, June 10. The quake struck at a depth of 5 km (3 mi). There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties. Local reports indicate shaking was also felt in central Cleveland, located roughly 24 km (15 mi) from the epicenter.

Further aftershocks and associated damage are possible in the coming hours and days.

Individuals in northeastern Ohio are advised to be prepared for aftershocks and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities. In the event of aftershocks, individuals are advised to protect themselves from falling debris if indoors, to move away from windows, and not attempt to leave the building unless there is an immediate danger. If outdoors, move away from tall buildings, utility wires, and streetlights.
