Venezuela: Power outages reported in Falcon on July 6

Event

A power outage was reported on Saturday, July 6, at the Amuay and Cardon refineries and neighboring areas in Falcon State. Government officials did not report the outage, rather residents contacted the press to bring attention to it. They also stated that telephone lines were also down. As of Sunday, July 7, the outage was still reported.

As the government has not commented on the outage, it is unclear as to when power will be restored.

Individuals in the affected areas are advised to anticipate more power outages and associated disruptions and ensure electronic and battery-operated devices are fully charged when possible.
