A forest fire in Dalman (Mugla Province) causes evacuations July 10; firefighting operations ongoing

A forest fire broke out in Dalman (Mugla Province) in the south west of the country on Wednesday, June 10. As of Thursday, July 11, some 350 hectares of forestland have burned since the fire started, which has engaged 520 firefighters and 105 water tankers to contain the flames. An estimated 34 homes were evacuated in the surrounding area. Since, firefighters have been able to get the fire under control.
