Chile: Feminist rights group to protest in Santiago September 11

The Coordinadora Feminista 8M group plans to protest in Santiago on Wednesday, September 11, to commemorate the 46th anniversary of the 1973 military coup and to remember the women who fought in it. Participants plan to gather at 18:30 (local time) at Plaza Italia. Similar commemorative events are likely in major urban areas throughout the country in the days leading up to the anniversary. 

A heightened security presence and localized transport disruptions are expected near all protest sites.
