Chile: 5.3-magnitude earthquake reported near Talcahuano on September 23

The US Geological Survey recorded a 5.3-magnitude earthquake off the coast of Talcahuano on Monday, September 23, at 05:24 (local time) at a depth of 10 km (6 mi). The earthquake occurred about 96 km (60 mi) northwest of Talcahuano. There were no immediate reports of injuries and no tsunami warning was issued.
