Saudi Arabia: Authorities expand tourist visa applications October 13

Saudi authorities have announced on Sunday, October 13, that tourist visas for Saudi Arabia are now open to travelers who hold a visa from the US, UK, and country members of the EU Schengen zone. The visas can be acquired online or upon arrival at Saudi airports, are valid for up to one year and cost USD 120.

Context

In September 2019, the Kingdom launched a new tourist visa system allowing citizens from 49 countries, mainly in Europe, North America, and Asia to apply for tourist visas in an attempt to diversify its economy and establish a tourism industry.
