DRC: Education march planned in Kinshasa November 9

The New Congolese Civil Society and other civil society groups are organizing a march through Kinshasa on Saturday, November 9, to call for free basic education. Supporters are being asked to gather on Boulevard Triomphal in front of the People's Palace (National Assembly) at 10:00 (local time) before walking to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. While the demonstration is expected to remain peaceful, a heightened police presence and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated along the march route.
