Saudi Arabia: Summit scheduled in Riyadh on December 10

Saudi Arabia will host the Gulf Cooperation council summit in Riyadh on Tuesday, December 10. The meeting, the Council's 40th, will be chaired by the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Sources indicate that a preparatory meeting will take place in the capital on Monday, December 9.

A heightened security presence is to be expected in Riyadh prior to and during the summit, as well as associated transportation disruptions.
