Anti-government protesters gather at Tripoli’s Ministry of Finance June 10, further rallies scheduled in Beirut June 10 and 14; further heightened security presence expected in the near term

Protesters have gathered at Tripoli's Ministry of Finance on Wednesday morning (local time), June 10, and reports indicate that protesters stormed the building. No clashes between protesters and security forces have been reported as of Wednesday morning. Those participating in the protest are denouncing the devalued Lebanese pound, among other things.
Sources also indicate that additional protests are set to take place in Beirut on June 10 and Sunday, June 14. On June 10, demonstrations were planned at 10:00 and 12:00 outside the Ministry of Justice and Riad al-Solh respectively. On June 14, protesters will likely gather at 17:00 at Martyrs' Square. On June 6, a similar demonstration in Beirut's Martyr's Square resulted in 48 injuries after protesters and security forces clashed.
