An unidentified attacker injured six people in a knife attack at an elementary school in Vrútky (Turiec region) on Thursday, June 11. Those injured include a police officer, two teachers, two children and the principal of the school. However, some reports indicate that one member of the school may have been killed. The assailant has reportedly been shot and killed and a police spokesperson has stated that the situation is under control.

Temporary disruptions in the vicinity of the school are to be expected over the immediate term.
