Emergency responders have been deployed following a train derailment near Hope (British Columbia) on Monday, September 14. The incident occurred near Highway 1 and Hunter Creek Road to the west of Hope. At least 20 carriages are believed to have come off the tracks but as yet no injuries have been reported. The cause of the incident is yet to be determined and investigations have commenced.
Road traffic in the area is reportedly unaffected; however, disruptions to rail services are likely in the coming hours.
