Liberia: Nationwide election-related protests scheduled from October 28

Nationwide election-related demonstrations are scheduled to take place across urban centers in Liberia from Wednesday, October 28. The protests have been organized by the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) coalition and are being held to demand the National Election Commission implement reforms of the electoral process ahead of the December 8 senatorial polls. Demonstrations are expected to take place outside of government buildings and in public squares. In Monrovia, they are expected to take place outside government buildings in the Capitol Hill area, at Tubman Boulevard, and at the University of Liberia campus. The timings of the demonstrations have yet to be announced.
