Unionized transport employees in Peru suspend nationwide strike after reaching an agreement with authorities effective March 20.

Transport employees affiliated with the National Union of Transporters and Drivers (GNTC), the National Association of Land Transport of Cargo (Antec), and the Union of Transport and Logistics of Peru and America (GTL) have suspended an indefinite strike in Peru after reaching an agreement with the government on March 20. The labor action, which was announced March 15, was in response to a series of grievances, including toll, fuel, and operating costs, among others.
