New Caledonia lifts domestic COVID-19 control measures April 11; international travel restrictions scheduled to continue until Oct. 30.

New Caledonian officials have lifted COVID-19-related domestic business and gathering controls in the territory from April 11. Residents are still urged to wear facemasks in public areas as a precaution.
International Travel Restrictions
Inbound international commercial passenger flights remain suspended, though authorities allow some repatriation and medical transport flights to operate. Cargo flights are operating normally. Only residents and citizens are allowed to enter the territory. Individuals traveling from outside New Caledonia must provide a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken within the previous 72 hours. Passengers must quarantine for 14 days in government-run facilities after arrival. Officials will quarantine visitors with COVID-19 symptoms at a medical facility. Mandatory quarantine measures and certain international flight controls are set to continue until at least Oct. 30.
