Emergency crews are responding to a large fire a the Deokpyeong Logistics Center in Icheon, Gyeonggi Provine, late June 18. The blaze began early June 17, and authorities say it may continue burning the large, multiple-story structure in the coming days. The fire has created a large smoke plume in the area. As of late June 18, one firefighter is missing after entering the building.
Numerous emergency response personnel are deployed at the scene. Officials may order the evacuation of some nearby occupied buildings. Authorities could also close some sections of nearby roads as a precaution. Localized disruptions are likely until crews extinguish the fire and officials complete an investigation into the incident.
The Deokpyeong Logistics Center is located approximately 24 km (15 miles) east-northeast of central Osan.
