Venezuela: Protest ongoing in Caracas June 20

Protesters are blocking Avenida Mexico outside the Hotel Alba Caracas in Caracas the morning of June 20. According to reports, the protesters had arrived at the hotel to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations, but the site was closed and they were unable to get vaccinated. The protest has remained peaceful so far.

Police will probably deploy to monitor the protest. The protest will likely remain largely peaceful; however, isolated skirmishes are possible if security forces attempt to disperse the gathering. Localized traffic disruptions are likely.
