Turkey: Magnitude-5.4 earthquake occurs near Yayladere June 25

A magnitude-5.4 earthquake occurred in eastern Turkey at around 21:28 June 25. The epicenter was approximately 8 km (5 miles) east of Yayladere and 50 km (31 miles) northwest of Bingol. The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 10 km (6 miles) and weak to light shaking was probably felt throughout eastern Turkey. There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties; significant damage is unlikely. Aftershocks are likely over the coming days.
