International Entry Restrictions
Authorities categorize countries as Dark Red, Red, Orange, Green, and Grey; a full list of countries by category is available here. Travel restrictions by country category are as follows:

  • Dark Red: Travel is prohibited except for residents of Northern Cyprus; permitted travelers must present a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours and be quarantined for 14 days on arrival.

  • Red: Travel is permitted for individuals who can present a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours and submit to a 10-day quarantine on arrival.

  • Orange: Travel is permitted. All arrivals must present a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours; travelers who can prove they have been vaccinated against or recovered from COVID-19 do not need to quarantine; all other arrivals must quarantine for seven days on arrival.

  • Green: Travel is permitted. Individuals vaccinated against or recovered from COVID-19 can enter without restriction; other travelers must present a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours to enter.

  • Grey: Travel is permitted; arrivals must present a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours and be quarantined for 14 days on arrival.

Residents crossing between Northern Cyprus and Cyprus are no longer subject to quarantine, provided they present a negative test or a rapid antigen test from within the previous seven days.

Ercan International Airport (ECN) operates on a reduced timetable; ECN is Northern Cyprus' only commercial airport and only operates direct flights with Turkey. Authorities could temporarily prohibit foreigners from entering via ECN if state-designated quarantine centers have reached capacity.

Restrictions could be reintroduced or amended at any time, depending on disease activity in the country.
