Social activists to protest in central Skopje, North Macedonia, starting 18:00 July 20; authorities planning associated road closures.

Social activists plan to demonstrate in central Skopje July 20. Demonstrators are slated to gather in front of the government headquarters at 18:00 and then march to the Assembly building. The purpose of the protest is to demand better rights for persons with special needs.
Authorities will reportedly cordon off nearby streets, including 11th of October Street, and parts of Boulevard Ilinden, Boulevard VMRO, and Dimitrie Chupovski Street, starting 14:30. The protest will almost certainly be peaceful.
Advice
Avoid the protest as a routine security precaution and to mitigate associated disruptions. Allow additional time for travel in central Skopje July 20.
