Authorities suspended rail service between Domazlice and Blizejov early Aug. 4 after two passenger trains collided near Milavce. An express train from Munich, Germany, collided with a passenger train from Pilsen to Domazlice, killing at least two and injuring at least 38 people. As of 09:00, emergency personnel are responding to the incident. Buses will replace rail service between Domazlice and Blizejov.
Increased demand for alternative transport, including buses and taxis, and other rail lines are likely through Aug. 4.
Milavce is 41 km (25 miles) southwest of Pilsen.
