Japan: Water supply disruptions ongoing in Wakayama as of Oct. 4

Water supply disruptions have been reported in areas of Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, as of Oct. 4. The disruptions have been caused by the Musota water pipe bridge collapsing the afternoon Oct. 3; the bridge supplies water to northern areas of the city. Media sources indicate approximately 60,000 homes in northern areas are experiencing water outages. Authorities are working to restore the water supply.
