The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) announced Oct. 22 that passenger services along the Abuja-Kaduna route are expected to resume Oct. 23. Services on the route were suspended after militants detonated an explosive device along the rail line between Rijana and Dutse Oct. 20.

Lingering disruptions to rail services remain possible through at least Oct. 23.

Reconfirm rail service availability if traveling along affected lines. Allow extra time for travel and consider alternative modes of transport in the event of further disruptions.
