Ghana: Disruptive protest near Ayi Mensah Toll Booth, northern Accra Oct. 25

Residents are disrupting traffic nearby the Ayi Mensah Toll Booth on the N4 highway in northern Accra Oct. 25. Participants initially gathered to denounce the poor state of the roads. Protesters have erected roadblocks with burning tires; traffic from Amrahia is allegedly stopped.

Ground travel delays are likely to persist in the coming hours in the vicinity of the protest and along the N4. An increased security presence is likely over the coming hours to restore traffic; security forces may attempt to disperse the protesters.
