A stabbing attack occurred on a train running on the Keio Line near Kokuryo Station in the Chofu City area of Tokyo late Oct. 31. An individual stabbed several people at approximately 20:00 JST before setting the rail car on fire. At least six people have been injured. Authorities have arrested a suspect and have extinguished the fire. Officials have reportedly suspended rail service on the Keio Line until further notice.

Heightened security is likely. Rail disruptions along the Keio Line and localized transport disruptions near Kokuryo Station are possible in the coming hours.
