Fighting between rival communities left at least 10 people dead and four others injured in Akobo County, Jonglei State, Nov. 2. According to local officials, the fighting erupted after two individuals from Chiengwanjang and Chiengwuor communities clashed in the Deng-Jok area. Akobo is located approximately 361 km (224 miles) north of Juba.

A heightened security presence is likely in the area over the coming days. Further clashes between rival communities are also possible over the coming weeks.
