Further anti-government protests are possible nationwide through the end of November. Protesters have gathered on multiple occasions in urban centers to protest the high cost of living and high rates of unemployment. Additional protests are scheduled through the end of November. Some participants have called for President Lazarus Chakwera's resignation. Security forces have been deployed to monitor all protests, though there have been no reports of violence.

Authorities may maintain a heightened security presence over the coming weeks to monitor for additional protests and associated disruptions. Protests may lead to transport and business disruptions. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be discounted.
