Opposition leaders have called for a march in Lima Nov. 27 to demand President Pedro Castillo's resignation. Protesters plan to gather at El Campo de Marte along Avenida de la Peruanidad from 15:00 before commencing their march through the city center. Organizers have yet to announce the specific march route; possible destinations include Plaza de Armas de Lima near the Government Palace. Hundreds to thousands of people could participate in the action.

Heightened security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely in central Lima through at least the evening of Nov. 27. Authorities may close roads and divert traffic and public transportation along affected routes. Clashes between police and protesters are possible, especially if activists attempt to breach any security cordons.
