Nigeria: Fuel tanker explosion reported in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nov. 28

A fuel tanker exploded in the Lafenwa area of Abeokuta, administrative capital of Ogun State, early Nov. 28. The tanker overturned at a railway crossing; another tanker was brought to offload the fuel, and during this process an explosion occurred, killing three people and wounding an unknown number more. The explosion also damaged nearby shops.

Emergency services are deployed to the area and will likely remain so in the coming hours. Ground travel delays are likely in the area.
