Additional protests are highly likely in N'Djamena through mid-December amid an ongoing strike by university medical students. Students are demanding improved working conditions and that their salaries of the past two years be paid. Participants are now also calling for the release of students that were arrested in previous protests. Protests remain possible in the vicinity of university hospitals and university administrative buildings in N'Djamena.
