Student activists are planning to stage a protest march in Nicosia Dec. 21. Participants will rally in a parking lot on Athalassas Avenue from 10:30 before marching to the Presidential Palace.

Police will likely deploy to monitor the demonstration. Likely large crowds and associated security measures will probably prompt localized transport disruptions. The event is likely to pass off without major incident; however, isolated scuffles between police and protesters cannot be ruled out.
