Warning

Event

Residual transport disruptions are likely in the Citta Studi area of Milan over the coming hours after protesters staged a march from Piazza Leonardo da Vinci Feb. 19. Police reportedly blocked the marching demonstrators, who are opposed to the implementation of Italy's COVID-19 Green Pass system, near the intersection of Via Pascoli and Viale Romagna. Consequent traffic disruptions have been reported in the area.

Further protest activity and isolated clashes between demonstrators and police are possible in the Citta Studi area through late Feb. 19.

Advice

Avoid all protest activity as a precaution. If violence occurs, immediately leave the area and seek shelter in a nongovernmental building. Consider taking alternative routes to circumvent traffic disruptions in the affected area. Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; wait for police to clear them instead.
