As of Feb. 28, authorities in Equatorial Guinea are maintaining domestic and international entry restrictions related to COVID-19.

Domestic Measures
The following measures remain in place as of Feb. 28:

A 00:00-06:00 curfew is in place nationwide.
All residents are required to get vaccinated.
Protective facemasks are compulsory in public places.
Casinos, bars, parks, restaurants, swimming pools, and beaches may reopen and operate at 50-percent capacity.
Weddings, funerals, and other celebratory events must not exceed 50 percent capacity.
Places of worship must adhere to strict preventative guidelines and may operate at 50-percent capacity.
Individuals may access administrative buildings providing proof of vaccination.
Public transport and taxis may operate at reduced capacity. Proof of vaccination is required to access public transport.
Travel between provinces and districts within continental Equatorial Guinea may only be undertaken for essential purposes, such as work or health. Those allowed to travel will be required to show proof of vaccination. Those traveling from Malabo and Bata will need to show proof of a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before departure in addition to the vaccination certificate.
Interregional commercial transport between continental Equatorial Guinea and the capital island is ongoing. Passengers will be required to present proof of vaccination and a negative PCR test.
Domestic flights operated by Ceiba Intercontinental (C2) and Cronos Airlines (C8) may operate three times a day. Maritime travel may also resume with three trips per week per ship and with a maximum of 250 travelers. A vaccination certificate and proof of a recent PCR test are required for all passengers.
If a large number of COVID-19 cases are detected in a specific area, authorities may enact localized lockdown measures.

International Travel Restrictions
International travel into and out of the country has resumed. Several other requirements are in effect, including the following:

The government is allowing two international flights per week per airline.
All passengers must provide proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival as well as proof of vaccination.
Upon arrival, travelers may undertake a rapid test.
A mandatory three-day hotel quarantine is mandatory for all travelers arriving by air, land, and sea borders. At-home quarantine is prohibited except for diplomatic personnel. A PCR test must be taken after the three-day period.
Travelers from countries with variant strains of the disease may be prohibited from entering Equatorial Guinea until further notice. Equatoguinean citizens coming from abroad are exempt but must comply with the quarantine requirement.
Travelers departing the country must take a PCR test.
