Far-right Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan will reportedly stage demonstrations in multiple Swedish cities through May 15. The following demonstrations have been announced:
May 13: Vivalla neighborhood of Orebro, 12:00-15:00; Backby neighborhood of Vasteras, 16:30-19:30
May 14: Sportfaltsvagen and Gottsunda neighborhoods of Uppsala, 10:00-16:00; Husby and Hallunda neighborhoods of Stockholm, 17:30-20:30
May 15: Navestad neighborhood of Norrkoping, 11:00-14:00; Skaggetorp neighborhood of Linkoping, 15:30-18:30
Activists are likely to stage counterprotests near the far-right demonstrations. Heightened security is likely around all demonstrations. Clashes are possible, especially if police attempt to forcibly disperse activists. Large gatherings and increased security measures may result in localized transport disruptions. Business disruptions are also possible, particularly around any areas affected by clashes.
Context
Clashes between demonstrators and security forces have been reported at previous rallies organized by Rasmus Paludan. At least five police officers were wounded and several police vehicles were set on fire during related clashes in Orebro April 15.
