Saint Lucia continues to update COVID-19-related measures as of May 17.
Event
Authorities in Saint Lucia continue to update some COVID-19 domestic and travel restrictions as of May 17.
Domestic Measures
Facemasks remain mandatory in public spaces and on public transportation. Individuals must also observe social distancing. Most businesses are able to operate following health protocols.
Social gatherings of up to 200 persons are permitted; larger gatherings require approval from the Chief Medical Officer.
International Travel
Arriving travelers are subject to medical screening. Children aged five or younger are exempt from all restrictions. Restrictions depend on the traveler's residency and vaccination status:
Vaccinated Travelers: Individuals who have proof of having received their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before travel are exempt from testing and quarantine requirements. Unvaccinated minors of fully vaccinated parents must take a pre-travel COVID-19 test and a test after arrival and may leave quarantine once they receive a negative result.
Unvaccinated Returning Nationals and Residents: Travelers must produce a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than five days before arrival. Home tests are not accepted, only tests carried out by health professionals are considered valid. These travelers must also complete a seven-day quarantine period.
Unvaccinated International Travelers: Travelers must produce a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR test within five days before arrival. Home tests are not accepted, only tests carried out by health professionals are considered valid. Unvaccinated international travelers must be transferred from the airport to a COVID-19-certified accommodation by certified taxi companies. They must stay at a certified accommodation throughout their stay or for seven days, whichever is shorter. Before the seven-day quarantine period is over, they may only leave their accommodations to participate in certified activities and excursions.
Travelers recently infected with COVID-19: These travelers must present a positive result from a PCR test taken within 90 days prior to travel, a medical certificate approving the travel, as well as the result from a PCR test taken no more than five days before arrival in Saint Lucia.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, ease, or otherwise amend restrictions with little-to-no notice, depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
