Emergency crews are responding to earlier Russian missile strikes on a residential building and a resort area in Serhiivka, around 60 km southwest of Odesa, on July 1. The attack has thus far resulted in at least 19 deaths and dozens of wounded.

Emergency services are on the scene of the attack searching for further casualties. Utility disruptions are possible in the surrounding area. Authorities will maintain heightened security measures including likely movement restrictions in the surrounding area for several hours.

Avoid travel to Ukraine until the situation stabilizes; consider exiting the country if safe to do so. Where fighting or airstrikes are occurring, shelter in place until the situation becomes clear.
