Iraq: Opposition protests in northern Kurdistan region, Aug. 6

Security forces have fired tear gas at demonstrators in Erbil, Aug. 6. The gathering coincides with a call for protests across the Kurdistan region by the New Generation Movement to demand action to combat unemployment and other socio-economic issues.
