Operations remain suspended at Montpellier–Mediterranee Airport, France, as of morning Sept. 25. Reconfirm flights.

Warning

Event

Operations at Montpellier–Mediterranee Airport (MPL) remained suspended as of the morning Sept. 25 following an aircraft incident, early Sept. 24. A cargo plane skidded off the runway while landing; there were no casualties. Officials have indicated that if the plane can be moved during the morning of Sept. 25, operations at the airport could resume during the afternoon of Sept. 25. At least 21 flights have already been canceled.

Lingering disruptions are likely once airport operations resume and authorities clear the backlog of flights.

Advice

Confirm flight status as flight operations at MPL could change at short notice. Do not check out of accommodations until verifying onward transport.
