Puerto Rico lifts COVID-19-related domestic measures as of Oct. 31; COVID-19-related international travel restrictions remain in effect.

Warning

Event

Officials in Puerto Rico have recently lifted the island’s COVID-19-related domestic measures as of Oct. 31. Persons attending events hosting over 1,000 people are no longer required to wear facemasks. Event attendees are also no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result upon entry.

International Travel Restrictions
Travelers must continue to follow the federal requirements for travel from outside the US and US territories. Nonresident foreign nationals ages 18 or older must be fully vaccinated to enter Puerto Rico from abroad by air. Children under 18 years of age do not need to be vaccinated, and vaccination is not required for air travel from the mainland US. For more information on US federal travel restrictions, click here.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Reconfirm all travel arrangements and business appointments. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or extensions of current restrictions.
