Peru: Opposition groups plan to demonstrate in Lima Nov. 5 against President Castillo

Activists, including political opposition figures and workers, plan to gather in central Lima Nov. 5 to protest President Castillo and call for an early election. Demonstrators will gather at Naval Heroes Walk (Paseo de los Heroes Navales) from 14:00. Several thousand people could participate in the action.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely. Clashes are possible if police attempt to disperse protesters. Additional demonstrations may occur in other areas of Lima.
