A magnitude-5.4 earthquake occurred in Nueva Ecija Province in Central Luzon Region at around 22:30 Nov. 8. The epicenter was about 1 km (0.5 miles) northeast of San Antonio, Nueva Ecija Province. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 170 km (106 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout much of Central Luzon and Calabarzon regions and southern Ilocos, southern Caragyan Valley, and southern Cordillera Administrative regions. There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake, and significant damage is unlikely.
