Opposition supporters plan to protest in Kinshasa, DRC, from 09:00, Nov. 13. Violence possible; avoid all demonstrations.

Warning

Event

Supporters of the Lamuka opposition coalition plan to gather at Kinshasa N'Ddjili International Airport (FIH) from 09:00 Nov. 13 to coincide with the return of Martin Fayulu, leader of the party. Protesters will then march from the airport to the Limete Interchange to denounce the alleged Rwandan backing of the M23 rebels.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest route; access to and egress from FIH may be impeded. Clashes are likely if participants ignore police orders to disperse.

Advice

Avoid the demonstration Nov. 13. Allow additional time to reach destinations near the protest venue. If violence breaks out, leave the area immediately, and take shelter in a secure, nongovernmental building.
