Authorities have extinguished a fire that ignited in a cafeteria kitchen within the departure hall of Baghdad International Airport (BGW) Nov. 15. A Civil Aviation Authority official confirmed that the blaze did not result in any casualties among passengers; three airport staff were reportedly treated for smoke inhalation. There are no lingering impacts on BGW's flight operations as a result of the fire.
