Ecuador: Babahoyo bus terminal resumes operations following Nov. 20 explosion /update 1

The main bus terminal in Babahoyo, Los Rios Province, has resumed operations following a Nov. 20 explosion in the building. While investigations into the blast continue, officials have said that it was not caused by an explosive device and was likely the result of a gas leak. At least two people were injured in the explosion; no fatalities have been reported.

Transport disruptions are likely to continue through Nov. 21 as officials conduct their investigation and work to repair the damaged portion of the terminal.
