Pakistan: Student protest planned at the University of Health Sciences in Lahore, Dec. 5

The Mustafavi Students Movement has called for a protest at the University of Health Sciences in Lahore from 10:30 Dec. 5. The protest is in response to alleged irregularities in the examination process. Dozens to a few hundred people may attend the gathering.

Officials are likely to deploy some security personnel to monitor the action. Some localized ground travel disruptions are possible if students attempt to march along nearby road routes. Confrontations between demonstrators and police are possible if students ignore orders to disperse.
